I was unwell these couple of days down with flu, cough and fever. Thank God i'm feeling better now.
23 March was Sultan Johore's Birthday and I was all packed up for Hard Rock Desaru. I booked this a month ago.
As the check-in time is at 1500pm so I and hubby just casually taking our time to get ready, had our lunch before leaving and stopped by few places for an errands. We reached there somewhere 1430pm and they got us nice Deluxe King room with water park view.
The room was simple. It comes with complimentary minibar - Ok, nice!
1700pm - we decided have an early dinner at The Westin Desaru since we saw some people there from across our hotel. As we reached there, we asked the Reception about the restaurant and hotel. We went to the buffet restaurant and asked one of the staff that we want to have dinner and they said they're open at 1800pm. Of course, I took some photos here and there to kill the time since we have half an hour to go. A few moments later, we've been approached by the security that told us we can't have our dinner there. We were shocked! After some explanation from The Westin personnel, they apologized to us for the misunderstanding. Apparently, the hotel will be officially open in April 2019. At the moment, they're running for preliminary stage for internal guest but the Beach Bar is open for outsiders.

So, long story short, after we talked to some guys from The Westin, we returned to Hard Rock and had our dinner at the infinity pool cafe called The Elephant and The Butterfly.

Food was decent but not fantastic, I would say. They should come in an american size instead, especially the taco and the squid.
So, yeah! that's a little update about my short weekend trip to Hard Rock Desaru and The Westin Desaru.
